A Redmond police officer has been disciplined after threatening to arrest a man who was videotaping him. According to the police officer, being recorded was a misdemeanor offense. The police officer was mistaken: recording a police officer being an idiot is totally legal and should be encouraged.
Police officers from the San Jose Police Department were obliged to leave a garage sale when the owners informed them they were on private property. The officers were checking to see if guns were being sold but were soon being told to leave and that the owners would file a complaint. Surely the Police Acadamy must teach cadets that: the 2nd Amendment protects the public’s right to own firearms and the 4th Amendment protects the public against searches of private property without a warrant?
