Poetic justice or ironic demise?
Remember the Heart Attack Grill and its unpaid mascot, the guy who would stand outside the restaurant daily and tout its “Triple-Bypass Burger” and other similar cholesterol-laden eats?
No? Surely you’ve heard of the almost 10,000 calorie, record-breaking three-pound “Quadruple-Bypass Burger?”
If you hadn’t after a walk past the Las Vegas burger joint, you undoubtedly would’ve seen John Alleman, the unofficial spokesperson for the eatery, standing outside the restaurant pitching its caloric, heart-attack inducing burgers.
But in a fate of tragic irony, the “bypass” burgers that 52-year-old Alleman praised daily have also taken his life. Alleman suffered a heart attack last week (in front of the restaurant, no less), and died from complications yesterday.
Alleman became part of the restaurant’s brand; his image was emblazoned on the menus and his likeness featured on the eatery’s clothing line.
Will the Heart Attack Grill alter its menu after the coincidental occurrence? Probably not, said Joe Basso, the restaurant’s owner.
“It isn’t going to stop us from what we’re doing,” said Basso. “People have got to live their lives.”
Until the bypass burgers have their way with your arteries, that is.

JuJu sex slaves on the rise
The Golden Post is reporting that women in Nigeria are being bonded into sexual servitude, not by force, nor coercion, but rather, juju. Nigerian sex traffickers are taking advantage of women’s beliefs in the ancient form of West African magic.
When a man offered Naomi Benjamin a lucrative nanny job in Italy, she took it, first undergoing a juju spell guaranteeing that she would pay back relocation debts.
When she realized the job was actually serving as a prostitute for a madam who would beat her, Benjamin fled. She was arrested and jailed for two years.
Thailand Separation Agreement
Our Thailand divorce lawyers can provide the answers to questions about the legal process of a separation and how to make a smooth transition afterward.
Benjamin is one of many women who are promised lucrative jobs abroad, and end up being scammed into prostitution.
Women who make it back to Nigeria after becoming entangled in the sex trafficking and illegal immigration schemes are usually too angry or embarrassed to publicize their cases.
So we caution, beware of the juju.

Feeling bitter about marriage? Winning a free divorce should help
This Valentine’s Day, one lucky winner will get a free divorce from a Michigan attorney.
Attorney Walter H. Bentley III is offering his services for free to one client this February 14, according to his website. Contestants are urged to fill out a form describing why their anti-love story should win, and Bentley is choosing the winning client based on the “most compelling and convincing story.”
How are submissions going so far? Pretty well, apparently: Bentley says over 500 applicants have submitted forms.
Rather than feeling bitter about the upcoming romantic holiday and the unraveling of your marriage, celebrate it, Bentley says, and sign up.
