While other states hurriedly passed legislation imposing strict regulations on firearms, a county in Maryland is taking a different approach. Prince George County is putting a ban on gun shows for an indefinite period of time.
The county’s Department of Parks and Recreation spokesperson said the ban is a temporary moratorium, and will be revisited after gun control legislation is addressed at the state and federal level.
Good thing Ted Nugent doesn’t live in Prince George County.

Washington State Bill Almost Let Police Search Your Home for Guns
A bill that made its way through the state of Washington’s legislature would have allowed sheriffs and police to enter and search citizens’ homes to ensure their assault weapons are stored properly.
The Democrat-sponsored bill had a provision that would have allowed police to search where and how the weapons are stored without a court-ordered search warrant.
Was it the most blatant breach of Fourth Amendment rights?
Indeed, and Democrats have rushed to retract the provision. While it’s a bit scary that lawmakers paid little attention to what the bill actually said when voting on it, it’s scarier to know that even the bill’s sponsor was unaware of the provision.
“I made a mistake,” said one of the bill’s sponsors, Senator Adam Kline. “I frankly should have vetted this more closely.”
Frankly.
