According to Activist Post, a new bill has been introduced to ensure that GMO salmon is clearly labeled.
Senate Bill S.1528, the ‘Genetically Engineered Salmon Labeling Act’ was introduced in July this year.

The bill states that its purpose is to “ensure that consumers in the United States can make informed decisions when purchasing salmon”. It’s been praised by activists who are concerned about GMOs, but critics say that it could create an unwarranted stigma.
