Fox News: Is their money where their mouth is? Not so much.

by Admin on January 30, 2013

Apparently U.S. President Barack Obama was whining about Fox News recently.

Obama reportedly said in regards to Washington’s gridlock on the fiscal cliff, “If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it,”

Fox News proponents say Obama is out to get the “right-wing” media outlet.

Fox News commentators say, “You don’t see him picking on The New York Times.

They say the president favors the liberal outlets.  Obama is quoted as saying, the “more left-leaning media outlets,” on the other hand, “recognize that compromise is not a dirty word.”

Which is all very interesting, when you consider where the News Corporation (Fox News’ parent company) spent their money this past election.

WND’s Joseph Farah humorously points out how News Corp. has donated more money to the United State’s Democratic president than any other politician. What’s more, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch has been doing so since 1989.

Take a look at the stats he credits in his editorial.

Strange, huh?

There is no “fair and balanced’ media outlet. The slogans, the commentary, and the biases rattled by the talking heads are just a small part of the “Big Media” in the U.S.

We couldn’t agree more with Farah when he states that “one of America’s biggest problems is control of the news and the flow of information by a state-influenced, if not a state-controlled, media.”

Bottom line? Watch the news. Then look at where the money in their pockets is going.
