A top democratic leader says that the FBI may have broken the law by revealing that they were conducting investigations into emails linked to Hillary Clinton reports the BBC.
The news broke out two weeks before the elections. Democratic leader Harry Reid accused FBI director James Comey of using his position to influence the ongoing election, which is a violation of the Hatch Act.
The FBI is currently investigating emails from Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin, found on former congressman’s laptop Anthony Weiner. The bureau believes that the emails may provide information about a previous case involving Clinton’s use of a private server.
