by Admin on July 10, 2018

A diving boat filled mostly with Chinese tourists capsized and sank after being caught in an intense storm and struck by 16-foot tall waves.

As of now, 41 have been pronounced dead and 15 are still missing. The majority of those numbers are Chinese tourists.

In total, there were 105 passengers on the boat, 93 of which were tourists.

Reports state that Thai authorities have charged the captain of the ship with carelessness causing death or injury.

This is the second tourist boat disaster in recent weeks in Southeast Asia and also comes at the same time Thai Navy Seals and volunteers divers are attempting to rescue a youth soccer team who’s been trapped in a cave in the North of Thailand for almost two weeks.
