Amid growing publicity and concern regarding the United States’ Department of Homeland Security’s purchase of $2 billion worth of bullets, the DHS decides it needs more.
Infowars.com is reporting that the DHS plans to buy 360,000 additional rounds of hollow-point bullets, based on plans detailed on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Hollow-point bullets are some of the most expensive bullets (strange, since the DHS says the purchase was for training purposes and to get a better price on bigger purchases), and are forbidden in international war.
The DHS continued stock-piling of ammunition is adding more evidence to independent journalists’ case that the US is preparing an arms buildup in case of civil unrest.

After the DHS’ ammo stockpile story broke in February, members of Congress have slowly taken notice and begun to raise questions. Currently, 14 members of Congress have signed their names in a letter to DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano asking for an explanation. Napolitano has yet to respond.
