China to Criminalize Misuse of National Anthem

by Admin on September 4, 2017

According to First Post, China is currently drafting a law to ban ‘improper’ use of the national anthem.

Those who violate this law by using the anthem at private occasions such as funerals, in commercial advertisements, or in public places as background music, will face criminal prosecution.

Modifying the lyrics in an offensive way will also be punishable by law.

Thailand criminal defense attorneys assist Thai and foreign clients accused of crimes.

Under this law, use of the national anthem will be limited to flag raising ceremonies, memorial day events, sports occasions, constitutional oath ceremonies and other major celebrations.

On such occasions, citizens will be encouraged to sing the anthem in order to show their patriotism.
