On December 10th a man from Boca Raton, Florida, managed to catch the sounds of a violent confrontation between himself and his estranged mother-in-law on a cell phone video, when he arrived at her home to pick up his son for a court-ordered custody visit. Via the video,viewers can hear a few moments of intense arguing, followed by several gun shots and the male victim screaming. He was reportedly taken to a local hospital after receiving three gunshot wounds in his rib cage and shoulder.
The male victim and his estranged wife are reportedly engaged in a fierce custody battle over their son; custody lawyers affirmed to us that the shooting incident may indeed complicate the case.
Child custody cases in Thailand can also be quite dicey, as we have witnessed multiple confrontations between divorcing spouses. Gun assaults, mercifully, are rare, but Thailand gun law does allow for citizenship ownership of guns by Thai citizens.
