More than 100 Cambodian-Americans could be deported from the US after being detained, according to Huffington Post.
The individuals who have been detained have lived there for many years, with some even holding green cards. Many of them are refugees. The numbers came from a statement by the Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC). Quyen Dinh, executive director, said “with over 100 people rounded up this month, we’ve never seen anything like this”.

Dinh said that these individuals “came to the United States as children fleeing genocide with their families” and that their crimes were “often equated with poverty and youth.” “To use their past served criminal sentences to justify punishing them again is inhumane and unjust”, he added.
