Public distribution of Quran also banned

Burqas and niqabs have been banned in Austria and anyone found in violation of the law will face fines if up to $170 starting October.

The law was approved by the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and the Social Democratic Party of Austria in their bid to combat radical Islamism.

The law also prohibits the public distribution of the Quran and mandates the integration of asylum seekers by allotting them one-year courses in both German language and Western values.

According to Breitbart, migrants will also be made to volunteer for charitable work, in order to better their integration into Austrian society.

Austria now joins Belgium, France, The Netherlands and Egypt in countries that ban full faced veils.
