Britain’s Magna Carta Celebrates 800th Anniversary

To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, the four remaining original copies of the historical documents will be on display together for the first time ever, reports the Business Insider.

British Library displayed its two originals with those of Lincoln and Salisbury cathedrals from Monday to Wednesday.

The display was only available for viewing to 1,215 people chosen from a ballot. A private show was given on to parliament on Thursday.

Chaninat and Leeds’ Thailand divorce attorneys have assisted thousands of national and international clients with their Thailand family court cases since 1997.

The Magna Carta is considered to be the first public document affirming the fundamental fights that people have, in relation to government action. Many scholars believe that the Magna Carta is the most important historical legal document in western common law development.

The Magana Carta affirmed the public’s rights to be free from warrantless searches and established the right of habeas corpus, a prohibition on secret arrests and punishments.

“800 years on, Magna Carta’s best days lie ahead,” said the Magna Carta Trust. “The principles set out in Magna Carta have driven the Arab Spring and the continuing protests against despotism around the world.”

Events are being staged across England throughout 2015 to mark the anniversary.
