Bonanza International Speedway are facing more than just slapped wrists after evidence has emerged suggesting the firm has illegally occupied 166 rai of land, writes The Nation.
Agricultural Land Reform Office, forestry officials and Tambon Khanongphra Administrative Organization all filed complaints regarding the land in the Nakhon Ratchasima Pak district.
Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thongchai Lue-adule said:
“Because we have found irregularities in the issuance of these land-rights documents, we have had them revoked”.
Bonanza International Speedway operates a resort, a zoo and golf course, and allegations suggest they are encroaching on forest reserves.
Thai Land Lease Attorneys Chaninat and Leeds have extensive experience all over Thailand in structuring real estate leases to benefit their clients.
A similar case has also emerged regarding a large business in Pak Chong. Kirimaya Resort is under investigation for alleged encroachment.

Investigations so far suggest that the 36 plots of land were purchased by Kirimaya Resort via auction following the collapse of Bangkok Bank of Commerce.
Dusadee Arawuit, the deputy permanent secretary for Justice, said:
“If the same government officials are behind the issuance, there is a possibility that they may have illegitimately issued land-right documents for other plots of land too.”
Kirimaya chief advisor Kitti Thanakit-amnuay, requested not to give any comment at this stage, but said his firm had confidence the land in question was acquired legitimately and within the law.
Investigations continue.
