An autism professor from Arizona State University has come under fire for sharing a link to the controversial documentary Vaxxed: From Cover Up to Catastrophe on the university Facebook page.
As Phoenix New Times reports, James Adams, director of ASU’s Autism/Asperger’s research initially posted the link without comment. However, after a stream of negative comments he edited the post to say the movie “represents only one side of the MMR-vaccine controversy,” but that it raises questions regarding the “validity of some of the official studies.”

The film features a whistleblower from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who allegedly reveals evidence of studies being ignored regarding a link between the MMR vaccine and autism.
Those critical of the film argue that the premise is based on flawed science, and the director Andrew Wakefield is not credible having been struck from the medical register.
