Activism means Monsanto Protection Act May Soon Be Repealed
United States Senator, Jeff Merkley has indicated he is going to attempt to have the notorious Monsanto Protection Act, which was controversially signed into law earlier this year, repealed. The introduction of the Act has resulted in a major amounts of outrage and activism. The present provision allows Monsanto and other similar companies to continue selling genetically engineered seeds, even if they have been blocked by a court from doing so. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders also refuses to give up the fight.
Thailand FDA Registration
The Thai FDA requires importers and manufacturers in Thailand to obtain FDA approval prior to importing or manufacturing products.
The Monsanto Protection Act received an increasing amount of publicity as it became more of a topical issues, but the Senate vote came too quickly at the time for any further preventative action to be taken.
