Hot! Uber Self Driving Car Kills Arizona Woman

Uber has explained the need for autonomous cars to be regulated in the US as it is vital to the success of the future’s company in a rapidly changing transportation industry. However, one of their self-driving vehicles’s in Tempe, Arizona, hit a woman outside a crosswalk on a four lane road. The accident could mean delays for the legislation of autonomous vehicles to pass in the US.

Tempe police are currently investigating the 49 year olds death and have yet to pinpoint who was at fault. Last week, Uber had pushed for Congress to pass legislation that would quicken the introduction of self driving vehicles. However, the motion was blocked over safety concerns.

A non-profit consumer advocacy group in Arizona attributes Arizona’s weak road regulations to company’s like Uber that come and test their robot cars and that’s why “people get killed”.
