Chinese Tourist Has Stolen Diamond Removed From Intestine
A Chinese woman has had a 6-carat diamond worth 10 million baht removed from her colon, after stealing it from an exhibition booth at Bangkok’s Diamond and Jewellery Fair last week, reports Thai PBS.

Mrs Jiang Xulian, 39 and her accomplice Mr Hae Ying, 34, were stopped at Suvarnabhumi airport last Friday on suspicion of the theft, and after initially denying the claims, later confessed to swallowing the diamond after an x-ray found it in her stomach.
The owner of the exhibition booth had alerted police after the Chinese couple had asked to see the diamond, and returned it with what she suspected was a fake replica.
Jiang was given laxatives to flush the diamond from her system, but this was unsuccessful.
She was then admitted to the Police General Hospital and doctors were able to extract the diamond from her colon using a metal pincer.
The suspect is to remain in hospital for a few days before being transferred to Nonthaburi provincial court, where police are expected to be granted an extended detention.
The couple is believed to be part of an extended gang, who have committed similar crimes in many countries before.
Chinese gang members also made the news earlier this month, with two Chinese women arrested in Paris for allegedly blowing “devils breath” drug into people’s faces, which has the effect of turning victims into compliant zombies who are easy to rob.
