U.S. in Talks with Blacklisted Burmese CEO
U.S. Secretary of State visited with Win Aung, the president of Myanmar’s main business association, in an effort to deepen ties between the two countries.
Aung, however, is on a blacklist of entities the U.S. forbids doing business with. Aung allegedly used his “close ties to Burma’s old military rulers to build one of the country’s biggest business conglomerates,” reports The Irawadday.
