Hot! Hate Message on Facebook Gets Eddie Nimibutr in Trouble

By Tripti Chaudhary

Eddie Nimibutr, Thai Noodle House chef and owner in Austin, Texas, has found himself at the center of controversy after his comments on Facebook regarding the subject of the Connecticut shooting and mass murder. Nimibutr commented as follows: “I am failing to give a damn about the CT shooting. I don’t care if a bunch of white kids got killed.” Now, according to Nimibutr, he is getting death threats from angry social media mobs.

Here is the rest of his status Nimibutr wrote on Facebook last Friday: “F**k post racial bullshit. When kids from minority groups get shot nobody cares. When Israel launched missles at Gaza, everybody was too busy jerking off. Why should I care about people who don’t give a damn about me? Personal responsibility, right? Get back to lavish X-Mas shopping and believing in some false superstitions. Corporations don’t want you to stop spending money on things you don’t goddamn need.”

On a recent interview on KEYE TV, Nimibutr said “I have death threats; I have people coming by my house threatening me with violence. I shouldn’t of used those words. I do apologize, because maybe it was a little insensitive to write something like that, right that day the day of the shooting.”

A Facebook page has been set up to ‘Boycott Thai Noodle House (Nimibutr’s restaurant) and Demand Apology from Eddie Nimibutr.’ Up until now, the page has gotten more than 700 likes, however the likes are increasing by the hour.
