Police State News: Spain’s Police Continue Beatings
Spanish citizens have recently been demanding changes from the government decrying austerity measures. The protest, which have consisted of thousands of Spaniards have been spurred by unpopular spending cuts, and tax increases.
Bailouts in the country have also given rise to outrage as they have only seemed to negatively affect the collapsing economic system.
Many people have said the cuts will only increase unemployment and job insecurity where recession is already weighing heavily on the people. According to the AP Spain’s overall jobless rate is nearly 25 per cent.
The growing protests, which could ultimately lead to a strike, have also witnessed a number of police beatings. A recent video shows the Spanish police going through the streets going after a number of people a harshly hitting them.
